Nijo Munehiro (二条宗熙)

Munehiro NIJO (December 27, 1718 - August 3, 1738) was a Court noble who lived during the Edo period. His father was Yoshitada NIJO. His mother was a daughter of Tsunanori MAEDA. Ieko NIJO was his older paternal half-sister. Munemoto NIJO was his adopted son (Yukinori KUJO's son). His court official rank was Junii (Junior Second Rank). He called himself Jokankiin (常観喜院).

Brief Personal History

He was born to Yoshitada NIJO in Kyoto in 1718. He rose to the rank of Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank) on January 22, 1730 (December 4, 1729 in old lunar calendar). He held various posts such as Udaijin (Minister of the Right) (1738) and Naidaijin (Minister of the Center) (1737 - 1738). He died in 1738.
